We work collaboratively with local farmers to advance sustainable farming practices. By working together, we help to improve soil health and crop yields which contribute to a stronger, healthier community and business. Strategic implementation of sustainable farming practices like crop rotation, minimal soil disturbance and cover cropping are incorporated in our business and valued by the farming families with whom we partner.

Packaging with a Purpose

Continuously improving our packaging to have a lesser environmental impact is another aspect of ethical sourcing and new product development. MGK is committed to advancing sustainable packing through the three Rs:

Reduce: Reduce packaging and other non-renewable materials
Reuse: Make packaging reusable when possible
Recycle: Use recycle materials and make packaging recyclable

This comprehensive approach minimizes waste and reduces the environmental impact of production and disposal of packaging.

Responsible Partnerships

Our external manufacturing partners and suppliers are an extension of our own MGK business operations. We embrace the principles of Responsible Care. Our environmental, health and safety professionals work with our external partners and suppliers to ensure adherence to standards of excellence. As a complement to our own procedures and requirements, MGK also utilizes the EcoVadis platform to assess and monitor suppliers’ environmental and social performance. This platform provides transparency and encourages continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
