One year ago, MGK launched our sustainability strategy with a bold vision for the future—one that balances environmental responsibility, social impact and long-term economic value. Since then, our team has been working to turn that vision into action.
As we reflect on our first year, we’re proud to share the progress we’ve made and the momentum we’re building for the future in the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social.
Environmental Sustainability
- By weighted measure, we’ve reduced our Scope 1 emissions by 70% since 2016—a major milestone in our climate journey.
- 2024 marked our first full year powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, a significant contribution to reducing our carbon footprint. This is the equivalent of removing 1,266 gasoline-powered cars from the road for an entire year!
Economic Sustainability
- We’ve focused on operational improvements like strengthening our infrastructure, including the successful implementation of a new security system which enhances the safety of our workplace.
Social Sustainability
- When employees work together to prioritize safety, it gets results. Increased engagement in safety efforts has led to a 70% rise in internal inspections over the past four years, while reported injuries have dropped significantly, with just one in 2024.
- Our very first company blood drive was incredibly successful, collecting 46 units of blood with the potential to save 138 lives.
These accomplishments would not be possible without the support of every person at MGK. Our team’s commitment to sustainability ensures that we are making a positive impact on the world around us. Thank you for joining us on this journey as we bring our sustainability vision to life.
